Hurricane Shelter Donations This Wednesday & Thursday

It has come to our attention today that Glenwood Baptist Church in Marion is now sheltering people from our mountain counties who are displaced due to the effects of Hurricane Helene. As of October 1, approximately one hundred and eighty people are staying at Glenwood Baptist, and they are expecting more. The church is preparing meals, offering showers, and providing sleeping arrangements. They are in desperate need of non-perishable food items, preferably some that do not require water to prepare since their water supply has not been consistent. They also need hygiene items, baby supplies, and blankets. 

We are going to collect these items on Wednesday, October 2 at 5:00 pm. through Thursday, October 3rd at 6:00 pm. There will be a trailer parked under the portico at the church if you would like to drop off any supplies by placing them inside the trailer. 

 

The morning of Friday, October 4th, our pastors will deliver the supplies to Glenwood Baptist Church.

Nutter Butters

canned meats, tuna

canned vegetables

almonds, walnuts

peanut butter crackers

canned beans

canned chili

raisins,  dried apricots, and dried cranberries

canned Ravioli, Spaghettios

toothbrushes, toothpaste

body wash

deodorant

shampoo

blankets
water

diapers

baby wipes
